The Vehicles to Freedom

Teaching by H.E. Gongkar Dorje Denpa Rinpoche

To travel the path to ultimate freedom, we need a vehicle. Relying on a concise text by the great Sakya master Chögyal Phagpa (1235 – 1280), Rinpoche will explain the three vehicles of the Buddhist tradition – the vehicle of personal liberation as the foundation, the greater vehicle of the Mahayana for the universal liberation, and the esoteric vehicle of Vajrayana for the union of skilful means and wisdom.

The key-point of this illuminating teaching is that far from being three separate traditions, as direct theory and practice, the three vehicles are to be integrated for the most effective approach to swift awakening of our true potential for freedom.
